One of the best ways for managers at all levels in an organization to learn how they’re perceived by those with whom they work is to take a behavioral or personality assessment. We find both DiSC and MBTI to be extremely helpful in assisting managers and leaders in their development so they can better contribute to their organization.
DiSC is a behavior assessment tool which centers on four different behavioral traits: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance. While this assessment doesn’t measure intelligence or every dimension of personality, it can lead to deeper conversations on how one is perceived and how to adjust to others.
DiSC assessment can help employees by:
- Creating awareness of their different styles and help them learn more about themselves
- Helping them better deal with situations where interpersonal relationships are involved
- Helping them more effectively communicate with each other (and with other departments within the organization)
The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator assessment (MBTI) is a self-report questionnaire with the purpose of indicating differing psychological preferences in how people perceive the world around them and make decisions.
We’ve used MBTI successfully when assessing leadership teams, managing a merger or strategic change in the organization or when cross-functional communication is critical to their success.
GrayWolf Consulting is certified to administer both of these assessments as well as many others. We will work with you to identify the need and make a recommendation on a process that fits your budget and your required outcomes.
