Public speaking, gravitas, and communication excellence are skills that leaders are expected to exhibit, and to exhibit well every day. Thinking strategically about developing these critical skills and them practicing them is an important step in a leader’s success. Presentation skills is rarely a natural ability, it takes a clear process and support at every step.
GrayWolf Consulting can support development, from new hires to highly experienced and seasoned presenters. Our experience is extensive, having worked in multiple industries, with multiple levels and with lots of different content and audiences. We use a number of tools to help assess where individual presenters are at in their skill ability, and then help move presenters from delivering information, to becoming more persuasive public speakers for long-term career success and bottom-line impact.
Even experienced presenters can benefit from a presentation workshop to calibrate their style and content, thereby maximizing a persuasive message.
Group trainings and one-on-one coaching are available.
In group trainings, participants are asked to bring the first 5 minutes of a presentation with them to the workshop. After the trainer’s presentation (& interactive discussion) on best practices, each participant will have an opportunity to present and receive feedback on subtle ways to make significant improvements. Presentation content, openings, voice quality, pace, eye contact, gestures, confidence, handling Q&A, and reading/connecting with the audience are all part of this program’s content. It will assist participants in delivering the right message in the right way.
Participants leave the workshop with skills, techniques, tips, and ideas to build a deeper understanding for delivering presentations with confidence. Action plans are written for implementing strategies to help them stand out as a presenter/public speaker. Preferably, all participants are present for in-person training, although virtual “presentation skills” trainings are available as well.
Some clients choose to add-on one-on-one presentation coaching for participants, as a follow-up to a training session. One-on-one public speaking coaching can also be used for more senior leaders as they prepare for Board of Director presentations, investor presentations, media interviews, new business pitches, etc.
“Thank you for your partnership in creating an Executive Presence program that was customized to the needs of both our organization and our senior leaders. The feedback has consistently been extremely favorable, indicating that the participants found the information relevant and valuable and wanted more!”
